An alpaca day out near Nijmegen
Looking for an original day out close to Nijmegen? At Elshof Alpaca’s in Malden you can meet our soft Huacaya alpacas: less than 10 minutes from the city, small-scale and always by appointment.
What can you do here?
We have several experiences, so there is something for everyone:
- Meet & Feed (1 hour): get to know the alpacas, feed and stroke them. For all ages, from €15.00 per person.
- Private alpaca walk (approx. 1.5 hours, aged 12 and over): walk your own alpaca through woods and meadows, from €30.00 per person.
- Picnic, lunch or sharing platter in the meadow (1.5 hours): enjoy a luxury picnic among the alpacas, from €40.00 per person.
Who is an alpaca day out for?
Really for anyone who loves animals and nature. The Meet & Feed is suitable for all ages, so it is a lovely outing with (grand)children or grandparents too. The walk is for ages 12 and over. Coming with friends, as a couple or with family? Then a private walk or a picnic is a great choice. Companies and teams and care groups are very welcome too; we tailor the programme to the group.
Practical information
- Address: Hatertseweg 34, 6581 KG Malden, on the main road between Nijmegen and Malden (about 10 minutes from Nijmegen).
- By appointment only: we are not a park that is open all day. Book your visit in advance in the online booking calendar; your place is then confirmed straight away.
- Getting here: easy to reach by public transport. Coming by car? We will show you where to park when you arrive. See the contact page for directions.
- Dogs: pets are not allowed, because alpacas are frightened of dogs.
- Clothing: for the walk we go through the woods, so wear sturdy, waterproof shoes and clothing that can take a few knocks.
